'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Missing Teens Await Information After Alpine Blaze

Teenage Swiss national a young man from Switzerland is one of those unaccounted for.

The loved ones of teens lost after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for any details about their children publicly.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified footage show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to identify the other six.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on online platforms to appeal for information about their friends who were at the bar that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near Lausanne, informed a publication that she had gone back to Lausanne to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in Bern, but was unsuccessful.

"This is a living nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in a serious state. It's horrific," she told the paper.

She explained that some of his peers had been found with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's indescribable; they went through hell."

The Italy's government has said that a number of of its young people have not been located.

Young athlete Emanuele Galeppini, 16, was last heard from around midnight on December 31st, as stated by.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old junior golfer, originally from Italy but now residing in the UAE.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "young athlete who carried with him passion and authentic values."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and found himself at the bar.

"A close friend told me they ran away after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.

One of his teachers said, "I remember his good nature and smile, combined with great maturity. Every time offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also present on that night, according to sources.

Her brother has published an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the developments.
