Palestinian-American Adolescent Freed Following 270 Days in Israel's Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American youth who spent a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel without being charged gained freedom.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested last February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.
American diplomatic officials said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.
They said he is pale, underweight, while battling health issues acquired while detained.
In a statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "tremendous relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"Currently, our priority is providing Mohammed with urgent medical care he needs following exposure to harsh conditions and brutal treatment for months."
American authorities announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to release him.
Mohammed's parent, parent of four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, previously claimed his child admitted guilt about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen or communicated with his son following the detention, and only heard about his son's condition in detention through court documents.
He stayed without charge at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.
It is also home to grown detainees, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and murder.
There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.
Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, Mr Kadur said the family would also continue fighting for justice for his cousin family member Sayfollah.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials succumbed to assault by Israeli settlers amid clashes in July.
Initially, defense forces stated authorities were looking into accounts of a Palestinian had been killed.
Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together within the family's frozen treats establishment from Tampa.
No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.
"We demand US authorities to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
