Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
